SAFETY POLICY
Ensuring Health, Safety & Welface
 
 
Kirranah Sdn Bhd is committed to ensuring the health, safety and welfare of its employees, so far as is reasonably practicable. We also fully accept our responsibility for other persons who may be affected by our activities. We will take steps to ensure that our statutory duties are met at all times. The Company’s aim is to have a zero accident rate.

Every employee will be given such information, instruction and training, as is necessary, to enable the safe performance of work activities.

It is the duty of Management to ensure that all processes and systems of work are designed to take account of health and safety and are properly supervised at all times.

Adequate facilities and arrangements will be maintained to enable employees, and their representatives, to raise issues of health and safety.

Competent people will be appointed to assist us in meeting our statutory duties including, where appropriate, specialists from outside the organization.

The Company attaches great importance to health and safety matters and accepts the responsibility to carry out its operations to ensure that as far as practically possible that staff, visitors nor customers shall be exposed to risks to their health and safety. All activities at the companies premises shall be carried out with the highest regard for the health and safety of staff, visitors and customers.

Every employee must co-operate with us to enable us to comply with all statutory duties. The successful implementation of this policy requires total commitment from all levels of employees, from the boardroom to the port. Each individual has a legal obligation to take reasonable care of his, or her, own safety, and for the safety of other people who may be affected by his or her acts or omissions. Full details of the organization, arrangements, policies and procedures for health and safety are set out in separate documents in the Health and Safety Manual. The Company Safety Policy is a short document, which establishes summary organization, arrangements and Policies.

This policy and the Health and Safety Manual will be regularly monitored to ensure the objectives are achieved. It will be reviewed annually, and if necessary in the light of legislative or Organizational changes.

The management of the company is committed to a policy of Quality Assurance throughout the company activities, ensuring that the service quality satisfies the specific requirements of our clients. It is the policy of the company to market only reliable and quality services that will merit and earn client satisfaction by performing all functions reliably and effectively.

The nature of our activities places particular emphasis and demands on the experience and expertise of the staff employed. High levels of responsibility and reliability are associated with all aspects of our work and a commitment to continued professional development and training exists to ensure that all staff are suitably qualified and equipped to meet these requirements.

As a reputable and reliable service providing company, our Health and Safety policy regularly monitored to ensure the objectives are achieved. It will be reviewed annually, and if necessary in the light of legislative or Organizational changes. The Policy is to:-
  • provide and maintain a healthy working environment at all times
  • ensure adequate control of health and safety risks arising from work activities, this includes communication with clients and any use of sub-contractors
  • provide all required instruction, training, supervision and other relevant health and safety information to employees
  • ensure that all employees are competent in the work activities they are engaged in
  • continue to consult with and update employees on all Health and Safety issues
  • provide, as a minimum, ‘generic’ risk assessments for all common tasks engaged in by employees where risk is involved and potential danger has been identified
  • encourage all employees to take reasonable care for the health and safety of him/herself , fellow employees and all persons accordingly and to report any hazard which cannot be controlled personally to appropriate personnel.
